My Style
Natural, organic, non-posed imagery really captures my attention most. As an empath, I love feeling the vibes you bring as a couple, and playing on those emotions with my imagery. I watch for the way you lean on their shoulder, smile when they look at you, or hold pinkies instead of holding hands. I watch for these things, and I capture them, because those subtleties are the essence of your relationship. I’ll guide and direct you, while leaving room for improvisation and play. Let’s document you, as you are, at this point in your life.

What is full service photography?
Full service photography means each package includes myself, my second-shooter, and an unlimited amount of coverage on your wedding day. We will discuss what time makes the most sense for my team to arrive so that we don’t feel rushed and are able to capture details along with plenty of getting ready photos. It also means that we will finish up when we have all of the dancing coverage we need, or after the send-off. I only take on a limited number of weddings per year, so you have my full attention throughout the process.
Rehearsal dinner coverage and engagement photos are typically included in my packages, but we would chat about what best fits your needs.
Do you include a second-shooter?
One second-shooter is included in all of my packages. An additional shooter may be added depending on your needs. I have worked with my second-shooters for many years, and I consider them to be great artists who’s work I look forward to viewing after the wedding. They shoot film and digital and are able to direct photos, timelines, and take my place when I am unable to be in two places at once.
Where are you located?
I am based out of Oregon, but am available for travel worldwide.
Will you direct us on posing?
Absolutely. If you’re a bit uncomfortable in front of the camera, no worries! I would say 95% of my clients tell me they’re awkward in front of the camera. Although I have a candid style of shooting, I actually do plenty of directing at my shoots. I’ll tell you where to stand, what to do, and give you actions to perform. I leave room for interaction and am always watching for the moments you forget yourself and relax. You’ll ease right into it, and things will become natural in no time.
Do you shoot film?
Yes, I absolutely love film. Around 35% of your gallery will be film.
What is the difference between medium format film and 35mm film?
I use both medium format and 35mm film cameras.
Medium format cameras use a larger type of film (120). This mean that the images from these particular cameras will be higher quality and contain more detail. These cameras offer a more dynamic, classic perspective. I typically use medium format film for details, scenery photos, and portraits.
35mm cameras use 35mm film, which is a bit smaller. While it is smaller than medium format film, it still offers very high-quality imagery that just has a slightly different vibe. Think playful details and fun in-the-moment point-and-shoot imagery.
Can you tell us about how you back up our images?
Your images are backed up to 2 cards as I shoot, straight from the camera. Following your wedding, all of your photos are immediately backed up to multiple external hard drives that night so that they are safe in multiple places. The original SD cards will not be deleted or overwritten until after your gallery is delivered.
Does it cost to have you travel?
Yes, but my travel fees are very reasonable and are included upfront.
How many images can we expect?
You will receive a minimum of 100 images per hour of shooting. Around 70% will be digital, and around 30% film.
Do we get printing rights?
Absolutely. You have full printing rights to all of the edited images. You have the option to print through my site, but you can also download and print them anywhere you’d like.
How much is the deposit and is it refundable?
My deposit is 50%, and is non-refundable. Because I have reserved the date for your event, I am then turning away other business on that date.
How long does the gallery stay up?
Always. I never take them down.
For engagment shoots, will you guide us on what to wear?
Absolutely. I have a whole outfit guide I'll send you to help get the ball rolling. I'm also here to send outfit inspiration, or give honest advice about outfits you're considering.
What do we do if it's raining our wedding or shoot day?
For weddings or elopements, I recommend umbrellas. I highly recommend ordering clear, bubble umbrellas for your wedding day. These umbrellas are absolutely adorable! They are great for photos because they are transparent, which allows me to capture your guests’ faces while they remain safe under the umbrella. We will also watch the weather closely on your wedding day. I have excellent weather apps, which allow me to see if the rain will be clearing from a given area. Sometimes, if we just wait 15 minutes, the rain will stop and we’ll be able to resume the festivities. For engagement or portrait sessions, typically, we can work around the rain (it’s rare that it rains all day), or we will reschedule.
Do you use a second-shooter?
Second shooter add-on is available, but it’s best to chat about if adding one is the right option for you. If your guest count is more than 150+ people, or if you have multiple locations, and want certain locations covered simultaneously, a second shooter might be necessary. However, this is something we’d discuss on our call!
What is your turnaround time?
3-4 weeks.
Can we get some vendor recommendations?
Absolutely. Request recs from me via email.
Will you help us with the schedule?
Absolutely. As the date approaches, I will work with you (or you + your wedding planner) to dial in the best photo schedule for your day based on your needs. I am very involved with this process.
