Alexa + Hunter’s Wind Mountain Ranch Wedding

As a wedding photographer, there are certain celebrations that linger with you long after the day is over. Alexa and Hunter’s Wind Mountain Ranch wedding in Stevenson, Washington—nestled in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge—was one of those truly unforgettable days: modern, heartfelt, and beautifully crafted from beginning to end.

Their love story goes all the way back to 6th grade, which made every moment feel layered with history. Photographing a couple who has grown up together brings its own kind of magic—quiet glances that say everything, inside jokes decades in the making, and a comfort between them that’s impossible to pose.

Their planner, Kelsey Timberlake, is one of the most gifted planners I’ve ever worked beside. She has a remarkable ability to translate a couple’s ideas into something elevated, cohesive, and better than they imagined.

Arche Creative brought the design to life with a level of precision I rarely see. Curved tables, structural elements, and a modern palette anchored the day in a distinctly editorial feel. I can confidently say I have never seen a vision board executed this accurately—an extremely difficult feat—and yet every single detail matched perfectly.

Novella, one of Oregon’s most beloved florists, added sculptural, romantic florals that softened the modern lines and tied the entire design together.

And I have to mention the dinnerware, which instantly caught my eye. Unique without being distracting, it added an artful layer to the tablescape and complemented the overall palette beautifully.

Alexa’s dress was the definition of sophisticated romance—clean, chic lines with a softness that moved so gracefully. It photographed effortlessly and paired beautifully with the refined, modern aesthetic. Hunter’s classic look was the perfect counterpart, and together they had this timeless-meets-modern energy that fit the Gorge landscape perfectly.

I’ve photographed many weddings throughout the Columbia River Gorge, but Wind Mountain Ranch has quickly become one of my new favorite venues in the area. It offers everything I love about Gorge weddings, all in one place.

You get sweeping views of both the river and the mountains, creating a backdrop that feels dramatic yet peaceful—classic Gorge beauty with a wide-open sense of space that photographs so well.

The property also has charming cabins tucked throughout, which instantly won me over. They’re cozy, warm, and full of personality. The plaid curtains, wooden details, and cabin textures give the whole venue this nostalgic Pacific Northwest charm. Whether couples use them for getting ready or simply as a place to unwind, they add so much character to the experience.

It’s truly a venue that combines natural beauty, thoughtful details, and an unforgettable atmosphere—everything you could want for a Columbia River Gorge wedding.

Alexa and Hunter’s wedding wasn’t just strikingly beautiful—it was deeply intentional, emotional, and full of joy. Every detail felt purposeful, and every moment felt authentic to who they are.
