The elopement took place on an early October afternoon, in Big Cottonwood Canyon, on a small dock, the exact location at which Josh proposed to April a few months prior. Close friends and family strolled the wooden walkway to the pier, drinking champagne and enjoying the scent of fall leaves in the air. April works as a stylist for Urban Ouftitters, and was sure to incorporate one of their dresses and jewelry. She also added studded boots and a white leather jacket. Josh manages a Vans store in Park City, and was also sure to incorporate his Vans sneakers. The ceremony was filled with laughter, and April made sure to take a nice sip of wine just before saying her vows, to ease the nerves. Afterwards, we strolled around the lake for some couple's photos, and the couple drove off on Josh's motorcycle to meet at a local church-turned-sushi spot for dinner.

Halloween is April and Josh's favorite holiday, so the reception consisted of small friends and pumpkin carving. April's mother and sisters spent the entire day prior to the wedding baking home-made pies for everyone to enjoy. It was slightly chilly and even rained a bit, but the fire kept everyone warm.
